Social Prescribers

Social Prescribers can support you to make decisions about your own health and wellbeing. 

Social Prescribers will connect you with local services to help with any problems you may be facing like housing, debt, isolation, diet and exercise. They will connect you to community groups to help improve your physical, mental, emotional and social wellbeing, and they can help you find education, training opportunities and employment services. 

  • Please ask at reception for a referral to the Social Prescriber.

Chlamydia Testing

We provide chlamydia testing at our practice. Please make an appointment with the Practice Nurses and they will arrange the necessary test.

  • Confidentiality is adhered to at all times.

Diabetes / Hypertension Clinic

The Diabetes/Hypertension Clinic is run by the Practice Nurses in conjunction with the Doctors and is by appointment only. The clinic offers patients with diabetes regular specialist medical and nursing care.

Breast Screening

All our female patients aged between 50 and 64 years are invited for mammography screening every three years.

Heart Related Disorders

The Doctors and Practice Nurses can give advice to any patient who has angina or who has suffered heart attacks, strokes etc.

  • Please make an appointment with any of the practice nurses if you are concerned about your heart health.

Alcohol and Drug Counselling

If you feel you need to talk to someone concerning your drug and/or alcohol consumption the Doctors will make arrangements to talk to you and give any advice they can to you concerning drug and/or alcohol reduction.

  • If you prefer, you can self-refer to Knowsley Integrated Recovery Service on 0845 873 4462.

Asthma

Our Asthma Clinic is run by the Nurse Practitioner in conjunction with the doctors and is by appointment only.

We aim to help people with this condition to understand and manage their problems and treatment so they can maintain the best possible health.

Post Natal Examinations

You should have your postnatal check 6 to 8 weeks after your baby’s birth to make sure you feel well and are recovering properly.

Please make an appointment to see Dr Choudarapu (female GP), or your preferred GP, for your 6 week post-natal check.

Flu Vaccinations

An influenza vaccination is particularly recommended for patients who are pregnant, with heart, lung or kidney disease or diabetes, residents of nursing and rest homes and anyone over the age of 65.

Please contact the reception staff in August/September for details of the vaccination dates to make an appointment.

  • If you are over the age of 65 and unable to attend the surgery, a home visit can be arranged to undertake this facility.

Senior Citizens

We provide several services for elderly individuals.

If you are over the age of 75 and would like to have a medical check, please make an appointment at reception.
